Sécheron stray current monitoring systems (SCMS) monitor your equipment for stray current and prevent corrosion damage. Our SCMS is compliant with EN 50122-2:2011 and delivers analysis, display, signaling, and logging capabilities.
Sécheron stray current monitoring systems (SCMS) monitor your equipment for stray current and prevent corrosion damage. Our SCMS is compliant with EN 50122-2:2011 and delivers analysis, display, signaling, and logging capabilities.
Sécheron developed its stray current monitoring system SCMS to prevent corrosion caused by stray currents on equipment in the railway and non-railway installations.
When stray currents leave the intended traction current return path and flow to the earth or through other structural components to return to the traction substation, corrosion is generated on any metal part buried in soil.
Our SCMS is a simple, efficient solution to monitor stray currents, eliminating the need for repetitive manual measurement and interference with the stray current collection system. Our SCMS is compliant with the recommendations in the EN 50122-2:2011 standards, continuously measuring the rail-to-earth potential in operating conditions. Our SCMS also offers central analysis, display, signaling, and logging capabilities.
