Product environment

Sécheron draws on years of experience in the field of power converters for traction power substations to develop and manufacture reliable converters to recover waste energy from braking and convert it into electricity that can then be fed back into the grid. Our EFFICIENT-INV product line for regenerative braking systems was developed to meet all railway industry requirements, from harmonics, reactive power, overload capacity, and type of cooling system to maintenance and efficiency.

Our inverters can help reduce overall energy consumption and are both durable and easy to maintain. We can assist you at all stages of your project from drawing up the specifications to completing factory acceptance testing of the associated inverter transformer or autotransformer (for connection to an existing rectifier transformer).

  • Rated DC voltage 750 Volts, 1’500 Volts, 3’000 Volts.
  • Up to 5MW.
  • Efficiency strictly greater than 97.5%.
  • Class VI overload (or other on demand).
  • Thyristor technology is cooled by natural air convection.
  • IGBT technology is provided with air-forced cooling.
  • Protection degree up to IP32.
  • Reference standards: IEC 60146, IEC 60747, IEC 61000, EN 50328.
