RS series
Characteristics
The RS roof switches are single pole devices with electric or pneumatic operation and designed to be installed on the roof of electric traction vehicles.
The RS switches are available in three different executions: disconnect switches (interruption of the high voltage roof line), disconnect and earthing switches (interruption of the high voltage roof line and grounding), changeover switches (selection of different traction circuits for multi-voltage vehicles). The RS can be built either for an OV3 overvoltage category offering the compactest version or for OV4. The switches have been designed to ensure a protection coordination with the AC circuit-breaker or DC circuit-breaker mounted on the vehicle.
