Disconnector cubicle

The disconnector cubicles are installed in the traction substation.
Incoming cubicles are situated between the transformer-rectifier group and the feeders, the cubicle will cut both the negative and the positive poles.
When the substation is equipped with a rectifier circuit breaker, the disconnector cubicle will, in this case, cut only one pole.
The negative cubicle can contain from 1 to 3 single pole disconnectors.

Basic functions:

The elements included in this cubicle vary from project to project, but usually include the following items:

  • Motorized or manual disconnectors (uni- of bi-polar), off load operation, electrical interlocking function with the HSCB feeder.
  • System bus-bar.
  • Measurement of current and/or voltage.
