CR10 return current detector
|

The return current detector CR 10 performs function number 32 of the "IEE Device Numbers and Functions for Switchgear Apparatus":
Directional power relay is one which functions on a desired value of power flow in a given direction, or upon reverse power resulting from arc back in the anode or cathode circuits of a power rectifier.
The return current detector CR 10 is based on 2 modules:
1 isolated amplifier MIU 10 + 1 trip relay SINEAX C402.
The isolated amplifier MIU 10 provides the galvanic insulation to the D.C. traction system (with 10 KV or 15 kV AC) according to railway standard EN 50123-1 and the shaping of the shunt signal (output ± 5 V, ± 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA). The trip relay SINEAX C402 gives 2 independent alarm circuits according to 2 predetermined directional thresholds adjustable by 2 potentiometers.
